Lakeshore East GO Train Service Changes – April 12-13
Temporary Service Adjustments on the Lakeshore East Line If you take the GO train on the Lakeshore East line, be aware of changes on April 12 and 13. Trains will run every 30 minutes between Durham College Oshawa and Danforth GO. However, there will be no train service between Danforth GO and Union Station due to construction. Late-night service on April 11 will also be affected.

Alternative Travel Options to Union Station
If you need to travel between Danforth GO and Union Station, use the TTC:
- To Union Station from Danforth GO: Take TTC Line 2 at Main Street Station (westbound), transfer at Yonge/Bloor Station to TTC Line 1 (southbound) to Union Station.
- To Danforth GO from Union Station: Take TTC Line 1 (northbound) to Yonge/Bloor Station, then transfer to TTC Line 2 (eastbound) to Main Street Station.
Plan Ahead & Check Schedules
Make sure to check GO Transit schedules before your trip to avoid delays. Also, remember to tap off on a PRESTO device when leaving the train if you don’t have a default setting on your card.
Save on Transit with One Fare
Passengers transferring between GO Transit and TTC can save money with the One Fare program when using a physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Mobile Wallet, or a contactless credit/debit card. This discount does not apply to cash fares or tickets.
Why is This Construction Happening?
Metrolinx is upgrading the Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) as part of a 10-year transformation of the GO rail system. This work will support the new Ontario Line, which will add 15 stops and over 40 connections to other transit lines, including GO trains, subways, LRTs, streetcars, and buses. The Ontario Line will reduce travel time to 30 minutes from end to end and remove 28,000 cars from the road daily.
