And, children aged 12 and under can travel completely FREE!
How to Pay for Your GO Transit Fare
You have multiple convenient options to pay your fare, including:
- PRESTO Card (physical card or mobile wallet)
- Credit or Debit Card (tap directly at the terminal)
- GO E-Ticket or Paper Ticket (purchase online or at ticket vending machines)
- Transit Passes for unlimited travel on specific days
No matter which mode of transport you choose, GO Train, GO Bus, or a combination of both-your ticket or card works seamlessly across the system.

Understanding GO Transit Fare Categories & Discounts
Adult Fare
- Save 15% when you use a PRESTO card, credit card, or mobile wallet to tap and pay.
- GO E-tickets and paper tickets are available at regular adult prices.
Senior Fare (Ages 65 & Older)
- Save 55% when using a PRESTO card, GO E-ticket, or paper ticket.

Youth Fare (Ages 13 to 19)
- Save 40% with a PRESTO card when a youth concession is applied.

Travelling with Dogs?
- You can bring up to two leashed dogs during off-peak hours (9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. until the end of service, plus all day on weekends and holidays).
- During peak hours, dogs must be in carriers that fit under your seat.
Support Person Assistance
Passengers with disabilities can travel with a support person for free. Simply request a Support Person ticket at the counter or apply for a Support Person sticker on your PRESTO card.

3. GO E-Tickets
- Buy your e-tickets online to avoid ticket lines.
- Keep them on your phone for easy access-no paper needed!
- Note: GO e-tickets do not qualify for Ontario’s One Fare program.
4. Paper Tickets
If you prefer a physical ticket, single-trip, day passes, and group passes are available at vending machines, GO stations, and select bus stops.
GO Transit Affordability Pilot Program
GO Transit is making travel more affordable for low-income riders through the GO Affordability Pilot Program in Peel Region.
How It Works:
- 50% fare reimbursement for customers enrolled in Peel Region’s Affordable Transit Program.
- Simply tap your PRESTO card on a GO Transit device, and within seven days, the reimbursement appears in your PRESTO account.
- No need to transfer between GO Transit and Brampton Transit or MiWay-it applies to any GO Transit trip.

GO Transit strives to be on time, but if your train is delayed, you may qualify for a service guarantee refund-except in cases of extreme weather.

Veterans Travel FREE on Remembrance Day & Warriors’ Day
Every November 11 and during the Warriors’ Day Parade at the CNE, GO Transit honors veterans and active Canadian military members with free travel.
Who Qualifies?
- Veterans and currently serving military personnel (must wear or carry service-related identification).
- Immediate family members of deceased veterans may also travel free if they provide identification papers.
